Bridport Seed Library Progress Report
A brief update for all the supporters of Bridport Seed Library, as a lot has happened since our first initial meeting after the Seed: The Untold Story film at the end of October!
The seed library will now open as part of 'Bridport Seed Week':

We have secured a place in the Lending Library on South Street, and Nigel at the Bridport Community Shed has made us a fantastic display unit:

Suzy has put together some eye catching posters and flyers:

We have held 2 'packing parties' putting our seed stocks into small quantities ready for people to take, and are publicising it on various media.
We have received a very kind and generous donation for a local supporter and resident, which means we are now financially solvent - we have no grants or other income source, but will encourage donations at events.
Vital Seeds have donated 20 packets of seeds! Bridport Town Council have offered us an allotment half plot for seed saving which will be brilliant for those things which need space for flowering (spinach, leeks, beetroot, brassicas etc).
Currently, there is a team of 9 volunteers bringing all this together. If you want to join in, especially on the allotment, please email me or speak to us in Seed Week!
See you at the events hopefully,
Steve
