From Page to Screen film festival 22-26 April at Bridport Arts Centre
The Little Sister (Saturday 25th April)

This year’s film festival has something for everyone, from classic comedies Ball of Fire, His Girl Friday and Touch of Evil, international treats The Little Sister, No Other Choice and Black Orpheus, to gala screenings of 2001 and Casino Royale at the Electric Palace, featuring a Q&A with composer David Arnold and writers Neal Purvis and Rob Wade.

The festival has been curated by Chris Chibnall, creator of Broadchurch, who recently adapted Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials for Netflix and has adapted his Dorset-set murder mystery Death at the White Hart. Chris has put together a series of talks aimed at demystifying how films are made, and even how to work in the industry, with the director of Broadchurch, producer of The Crown and designer of the sensational Bromley biker film Pillion. All the talks take place at 1pm daily at the town hall, and are free for 25 and under (£5 over 25) and films are mostly £3 for young people.

The directors of Spacewoman and H is for Hawk will introduce their films, and many of the others will be introduced by Chris Chibnall himself, with lots of surprises in store for cinema goers!
