MMMM! Monday 19 Jan: System Update + Bridport Seed Library Progress
MMMM! Monday Movie, Meal & Mingling – System Update: Rebooting Our Future
Our next MMMM! Monday Movie, Meal & Mingling takes place on Monday 19 January at The Chapel in the Garden, Bridport, with a screening of the documentary System Update: Rebooting Our Future:

MMMM! is about coming together around good food, meaningful conversation, and shared learning. Doors open from 6 pm for a mostly organic vegan curry, with shorts from around 6:30 pm and the main film starting at 7 pm.
Please pre-book your meal, or let us know you’re coming by 3 pm on the day, to help us avoid food waste.
System Update (58 mins, 2025) explores why deep political, economic, and social change is essential if we are to respond meaningfully to the climate crisis. Rather than offering easy answers, the film invites us to question the systems we live within and consider how collective action can help shape something better.
As ever, MMMM! is as much about meeting each other as it is about watching a film.
Bridport Seed Library – Progress Report
Alongside our regular film nights, we’re pleased to share a progress update on the Bridport Seed Library, a community-led project to make seed saving and food growing more accessible in Bridport:

Since the Seed: The Untold Story screening in October, a dedicated volunteer group has been working behind the scenes to prepare for the library’s launch during Bridport Seed Week, Sat 31 Jan - Sat 7 Feb. The Seed Library will be based inside the Lending Library on South Street and will offer over 100 varieties of vegetable and heritage seeds.
Thanks to support from Bridport Community Shed, Bridport Town Council, Vital Seeds, and many local volunteers, the project is now well set up and financially solvent. Seed packing sessions are underway, and plans for Seed Week events are taking shape.
If you’re interested in seed saving, food resilience, or getting involved locally, this is a great project to follow and be part of.
